DETOX YOUR BODY TO KEEP DOING WHAT YOU LOVE.
DISCOVER AN HONEST, HIGH QUALITY, AND DELIBERATE APPROACH
A procedure in which trained specialist use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of chiropractic adjustment is to correct structural alignment and improve your body’s physical function.
Chiropractic is a unique form of health care that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of health problems associated with the body’s neuromusculoskeletal (nerves, muscles, bones) system. Chiropractors believe that vertebral dysfunction alters many important bodily functions by affecting the nervous system and that skeletal imbalance through joint dysfunction can cause muscle spasm and pain. Along with the pain associated with muscle spasms, they can also adversely affect the nervous system creating a cycle of perpetuating dysfunction and pain.
The chiropractic approach to health care is holistic, stressing the patient’s overall health and wellness. They seek the cause of pain and dysfunction rather than the elimination of symptoms. Chiropractors provide natural, drugless, non-surgical health treatments and rely on the bodies inherent recuperative abilities.
Nicknamed “The Stem Cell Machine” by the TV Show The Drs that aired 11/21/19 our Softwave Tissue Regeneration Technology is an exciting, breakthrough treatment option in the field of regenerative medicine. It is an advanced, effective, non-invasive, and safe way to treat painful musculoskeletal conditions, degenerative conditions, and chronic pain. All without needles, anesthesia, medicine, or expensive hospitalization.
SoftWave Treatment is the most advanced, highly effective, non-invasive treatment cleared by the FDA to treat degenerative conditions and chronic pain. SoftWave can be explained as a min lithotripsy device that delivers the most effective Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (“ESWT”) available. During treatment, the ESWT produces high-energy sound waves that are applied to painful and injured areas of the body to dramatically stimulate healing and regeneration. It works by helping to stimulate and improve your body’s own healing capability by enhancing blood circulation and has been shown to stimulate increased stem production to regenerate damaged tissue. Beneficial effects are often experienced in only one or two treatments and there is no downtime!
This non-surgical treatment can eliminate pain, restore mobility and significantly improve a person’s quality of life. SoftWave Treatment accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating metabolism and enhancing blood circulation and cellular repair to regenerate damaged tissue. The healing energy wave created penetrates tissues and stimulates stem cells and growth factors in the body that are responsible for muscle and connective tissue healing.
MEDICAL EFFECTS:
Spinal Decompression Therapy involves stretching the spine, using a traction table or similar motorized device, with the goal of relieving back pain and/or leg pain. This procedure is called nonsurgical decompression therapy (as opposed to surgical spinal decompression, such as laminectomy and microdiscectomy) to apply significant distractive forces to the spine in variable directions creating a negative pressure in the center of the intervertebral disc. This creates a suctioning effect or vacuum phenomenon in order to retract and reduce the size of a herniated or bulging disc’s gelatinous internal nucleus pulposus, thus eliminating or decreasing significantly nerve compression. This will also create an osmotic gradient which helps bring nutrients, oxygen and water into the disc, thus stimulating the healing process. Since intervertebral discs have poor circulation, they depend upon receiving their nutrition through diffusion. Treatment may last 30 to 45 minutes and you may require 20 to 28 treatments over five to seven weeks.
BENEFITS:
Myofascial Release Technique (MRT) is a soft-tissue treatment method primarily designed to identify and eliminate adhesions, which are dense collections of scar tissue that form when muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and nerves are injured by combining manipulation and movement. Treatment consists of precisely directed tension with the hands and specific patient movements to essentially “comb out” the adhesive scar tissue. In some cases, scar tissue can entrap nerves throughout the body causing numbness, tingling, and weakness. MRT can successfully release these entrapped nerves.
Adhesive scar tissue forms because of injury, repetitive motion, and constant tension. Once scar tissue forms it can cause pain, stiffness, and dysfunction and limits flexibility in that area of the body. Since every muscle, fascia, tendon, ligament, and nerve has a job to do scar tissue prevents that muscle from performing its job properly. Weakness, dysfunction, decreased range of motion, and instability will lead to pain and compensation. Compensation will lead to more scar tissue formation and the cycle continues.
MRT can be used to treat pain and other symptoms caused by injury or damage to:
Tendons and ligaments. Tendons connect muscles to bone and ligaments connect bone to bone. Injury to either can cause pain and decrease range of motion.
The Y-Strap is a tool that fits around the base of the skull/chin that allows for the spine to be stretched. The Y-Strap is a stretching tool to perform manual spine decompression. This type of “stretch” is called spinal traction. In other words, the Y Strap allows us to “separate” the segments in your spine to release any tension within them.
HOW DOES THE Y-STRAP WORK
According to Pettibon, the Y Strap corrects “kinks” in the epi-pia collagen network. The Y-Strap adjustment works by stretching the spine and pulling the head in the Y-Axis of the body. This pulling force generates a decompression in the vertebral discs. The force applied can have different speeds and force patterns: From a slow and smooth stretching motion to a HVLA (High Velocity, Low Amplitude) Movement. This HVLA procedure generates a swift vacuum within the vertebrae discs that enables nutrients to flow into the discs. The advantage is using the Y-Strap chiropractic technique is a straight angle and non-existent torsion of the procedure to treat a patient of spinal compression and disc problems
Physical therapy or physiotherapy (sometimes abbreviated to PT) is the remediation of impairment and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life, and movement potential through the methods of neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercises, and other musculoskeletal modalities.
An IASTM is a tool to effectively detect and break soft tissue adhesions, scar tissue, and altered connective tissue to increase blood flow, increase range of motion, promote healing, and increase cellular activity in the region.
THE TECHNIQUE
Licensed Massage Therapists (or LMTs as they’re often referred to) are practitioners that provide soft tissue manipulation to treat pain and injury. The types of massage therapy range widely but are often an appointment that ranges anywhere from 30-90 minutes where in the patient will receive a massage to relieve tension, and pain, and improve mobility. BODY DETOX LMTs focus primarily on enabling active lifestyles as a whole and are more targeted in service offerings, which include:
BODY DETOX massage therapists offer active treatments to help active patients move well and feel prepared for any activity. This means prioritizing injury treatment and rehabilitation over relaxation. BODY DETOX massage therapy flips the conventional approach on its head to address the specific needs of active patients. Therapists work in conjunction with other BODY DETOX practitioners to create accelerated recovery. We help patients make the best use of their appointments to create real, lasting results.
At BODY DETOX, our GOAL is to get you close to 100% in the shortest amount of time possible. We want rehabilitation to include PREVENTION in order to avoid rehabilitation.
